Vale Jack Batty

It is with great sadness that we learnt of the passing over the weekend, of former Executive Chairman of the VSDCA and Life Member Jack Batty.

 For those of you who did not know Jack, he was a tireless worker for the Yarraville Cricket Club, and served on the VSDCA Executive (1977-78 to 2000-01) and was Executive Chairman for 7 seasons.

Jack was also a great friend of our umpiring fraternity and always made us welcome when appointed to games at Yarraville.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the Batty family and the members of the Yarraville Cricket Club at this sad time.
