The VSDCUA monthly meeting was held on 30th September at the Brunswick Cricket Club.
There were 82 members present, which was very gratifying to see. It was also a delight to have the newly elected Chairman of the VSDCA, Mr. Neil Burns, the CEO Mr. Ken Hilton, Cricket Operations Manager Dr. Geoff Hart, and the Umpire Accreditation Officer Penny Keaghran in attendance.
The main thrust of the meeting centered on the changes made to Pennant Rule 16. A copy of the presentation by Dr Geoff Hart and the Umpire Coach Brian Goodman, is available by clicking here and going to the 6.30 minute mark of the clip from where the presentation commences.
Presentations were also made by the members of the VSDCA Umpiring Department and by Penny on the accreditation process and applying for Working with Children Certificates, which can also be viewed on the above link.

Neil Burns also awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to Rob Watts, who served as the VSDCA Delegate for the Plenty Valley Cricket Club for two decades. We are now lucky to have Rob on our umpiring panel, and he is a valued member of our committee. Congratulations Rob!
Thanks again to Mick Moore and his Brunswick crew for hosting our meeting and preparing the post meeting refreshments.
Our next meeting will be held at Elsternwick Cricket Club on Tuesday 28th October.
