Round 3 wrapped up without Melbourne’s weather interfering! But, of course, it made its presence felt in the next round, leading to the rescheduling of Rounds 4 and 5, which you’ll know about by now.

We also saw some great milestones, with Round 3 featuring Ray Stokes’ achievement of 200 games—a feat already mentioned in an earlier post—making him the newest member of our ‘200 Club.’ Congratulations again to Ray!

Rounds 4 and 5 saw the following milestones celebrated. Congratulations to the following umpires:

Michael Wheelahan – 350th 1st XI game

Brian Farrow – 150th 1st XI game

Bill Keenan – 200th 2nd XI game

Jeremy Anthony – 50th VSDCA game

Aaron Ezekiel – 50th VSDCA game

We also saw 1st XI debuts for Patrick (Paddy) Lambert, Paul Chipizubov and Frazer Hughes – well done, gents, and we hope you enjoyed the occasion.
