John Craig awarded OAM for services to cricket

On Friday in the Australia Day Honours, John Craig from Ormond received a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his service to cricket.

It is has been well documented over the years the magnificent contribution John has made to the Ormond Cricket Club both as a player and administrator and then to the VSDCA as an administrator and Board Member. John was elevated to ‘Legend Status’ in the VSDCA in 2023.

Sixty plus years of service as a volunteer to the game of cricket, a wonderful achievement.

On behalf of the Chair, Board Members, and all member clubs, we congratulate John on receiving this special recognition, which is very well deserved.
