Information for VSDCA Umpires   Round 9, 6th January 2024

SEASON RE-START AND UMPIRING OPPORTUNITIES

Welcome back as our season resumes. Round 9 is a one-day match for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd XIs, while the 4th XI has a bye.

Our one-day matches are governed by VSDCA Rule 17 – please take a moment to re-familiarise yourself with it.

UMPIRING OPPORTUNITIES

This is a busy time of year, cricket-wise, and that means it’s busy for umpires! As a consequence we are looking for umpires to fill vacancies in the J G Craig Shield  and also the Twilight T20 series that begins next Tuesday.

 J G Craig Shield – while appointments have been made for all matches, gaps are beginning to appear through changes in umpire availability.

If you wish to be appointed to any of the following dates, SMS 0419 881 226 with the words J G Craig YES in the text:

January 10, 11, 16, 17 or 18.

 Twilight T20 appointments are about to be made based on previously advised availability. Unfortunately, OfficialsHQ’s availability reporting can be confusing. We don’t wish for anyone to miss a game if possible, so if you have not already so done, please let me know of your interest. SMS 0419 881 226 with T20 YES.
