Finals & Other News from the Umpires Desk

Well here we are into the final round of finals for Season 2025-26.

Congratulations to everyone who was fortunate enough to get an appointment. As Neill our Appointment Manager mentioned in one of his recent Fireside Chats, if you missed out on an appointment, you may care to use this as motivation to go one better next season.

Your committee fully agree with this statement and encourage all members to return with enthusiasm and readiness under the guidance of our new coach, David Stein.

Matt's Big Milestone

Matthew Raby reached another milestone in his storied career. Round 2 of the finals, saw him officiate his 550th VSDCA game.

Congratulations to Matthew, who now has the 600-game mark clearly in his sights!

Toyota Good for Footy Raffle

A thank you once again to all the members who participated in the Toyota Good for Cricket Raffle. We have received our money from our ticket sales ($1,312.15c) and those members who qualified for an Apparel Voucher, you will be receiving that shortly in the mail. Please retain it and present it to the Apparel Officer for redemption when making your apparel purchases next season.  The voucher is only valid for the 2026/27 season and the redemption period is 1 September 2026 to 31 March 2027 and it is not transferrable nor redeemable for cash.

Finals Honorarium Payments

Honorarium payments for all finals games are scheduled to be made on Friday 3rd April.
