End of Season Dinner Awards

Our end of season dinner was another successful evening at Sandy by the Bay in Sandringham, where we have held the last 4 such events.

Congratulations to Justin Toohey who picked up the Matt Harris Award for the most improved umpire for Season 2023-24.

A most deserved winner whose improvement also saw him being appointed to umpire the VSDCA v Victoria Country Cricket League representative game.

Our association presented an honorary life membership to the Devlin family, in honour of their much loved husband, father & brother Adam, who was our then President at the time of his passing in late 2022.

Adam was only 9 games away from qualifying for life membership, and at our last AGM it was unanimously agreed to bestow an honorary award to Adam's family.

Adam's wife Marie accepted the award, Also present were her son's Matthew, Corey accompanied by his wife Amanda, and Adam's brother Brett and his partner Kaz.

Congratulations also go out to the following umpires who were recognised on the night for their achievements;

• 100 games - Warren Pump & Paul Loughery

• VSDCUA 200 Club Membership - Leigh Francis, John Doig & Michael Moore

• 300 Games - Greg Rollo

• 400 1st XI Games - Matthew Raby

• 500 Games - Matthew Raby
